10 Things to Remember for Eid Day

A piece of making Eid exceptional incorporates evacuating those deterrents that prompt anxiety and dissatisfaction. This can run from getting lost while in transit to supplications to God to finding an unattractive stain on new garments ultimately.
Setting up a day and all the more ahead of time helps fight off potential issues and helps everybody appreciate the occasion in style and cool. Here are 18 things you can do to help make Eid cheerful and agreeable for all.
1. Iron Clothes a Night Before
When the garments have been selected, squander no time pressing and hanging them up. Doing this the prior night helps you get everything prepared while despite everything you're smooth, along these lines less inclined to blaze the garments in a spur of the moment pressing surge.

2. Set  Breakfast Table a Night
BeforeSetting bowls, plates, and utensils, alongside some pleasant inflatables and an Eid pennant over the table is a decent approach to set the tone for the morning of Eid. Doing it the prior night decreases the morning surge as you're scrambling to get everything else prepared.
3. Split Up The Kids For Eid Prayer
Choose which children will run with which parent the day preceding Eid petitions to God. Time after time, fathers dump the whole obligation of dealing with the kids on moms' shoulders. The circumstance frequently gets to be unmanageable as mothers will most likely be unable to watch the majority of the children.
Restricted of doing this is by isolating the kin who battle the most. Another is by keeping the young ladies with mother and the young men with father. Then again infants (conception to three years) with mother and children (four to seven-years of age) with father. Each family is one of a kind so folks can choose how to part up the children. Despite how its done, the fact is to diminish interruption for folks and for others and to keep the children close by.

4. Teach Children Proper Behavior
Disclose to them before going that while Eid is a period of joy, fun, and festivity, it is not suitable to run, hop, yell and play find the stowaway with different children at the request to God place. Tossing in an alluring prize (i.e. a guarantee to go out for frozen yogurt or the recreation center soon thereafter on the off chance that they carry on) may additionally urge children to spare the silly buffoonery for after supplications to God.
Additionally clarify that they must sit still and be peaceful amid the clarification of the petition to God, amid the request to God (on the off chance that they are not begging) and the Khutba that takes after. Encourage them to whisper in Mommy or Daddy's ear on the off chance that they need anything and must converse with them.
5.  Carry Comfortable Shoes With You
Wear the most comfortable shoes to straighten up your line in prayer, since you won't be worrying about where you've put your shoes. Everyone should put their initials on the bag and remember to carry it with them at all times.
6. Take Your Own Rugs With You To Pray
It is recommended to take a sheet or paper to prey on, encourage everyone in your family to bring their own.
7. Take extras for Kids
Clothes, dry snacks, juice boxes, and quiet toys for small kids.
These will prove invaluable should the baby leak through her brand new Eid clothes in the car or the toddler starts complaining about hunger or thirst right before prayer begins. A book or quiet toy per child will also prove invaluable if the kids start becoming antsy during the Khutba.
8. Visit Bathroom before leaving
This is a must especially for kids under 10. While Eid prayer places do have bathrooms, getting to them in the midst of a huge crowd can mean an “accident” or missing Eid prayer altogether.
9. Greet those whom you know and those you don't
Say Salam and embrace the individual beside you once the Khutbah is over. Is it true that it isn't humorous that we stand so physically near to somebody in request to God (shoulder to bear) yet totally overlooking them once it’s over? Embrace your request to God neighbor and at any rate wish them Eid Mubarak.
On the off chance that they are distant from everyone else, welcome them over or get their telephone number and illuminate them of any Eid exercises that are coming up in your group. They may be new to the group and know no one, so be as transparent as could be expected under the circumstances.
A man once asked Prophet Muhammad, peace and endowments be upon him, what part of Islam was the best, and he said: "You ought to give sustenance, and welcome both those you know and those you don't" Bukhari, Muslim.
10.  Do Some Good Deeds
Do some charity work? Put money you can easily afford on a  bag seeking donations to cover the cost of renting the Eid prayer place. Give bigheartedly, since it normally costs thousands of dollars to book the space.

Nepal's national mountain bike team turn rescuers

In the aftermath of the disaster, which killed more than 7,500 people and injured more than 14,500, the cyclists found their riding skills invaluable.

Pakistan asks UK over claims India funded MQM party

IMAGE LOADING....
MQM officials told UK investigators they had received money from the Indian government, the BBC has learned.
A Pakistani official also told the BBC that India has trained hundreds of MQM militants over the past 10 years.
Indian authorities say the claims made to the BBC are "completely baseless". The MQM also denies them.
Party spokesman Saif Muhammad Ali told BBC Urdu that the MQM had never received any funding or training from India. He said authorities in Pakistan were running a campaign against the party.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Pakistan's interior minister, said on Thursday he would write to the British government on Friday.
He said they had a duty to "extend as much help as possible" to Pakistan on the investigation.
With 24 members in the National Assembly, the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has long been a dominant force in the politics of Pakistan's largest city, Karachi.
They told investigators the party was receiving Indian funding, the BBC was told. UK authorities also found a list of weapons in an MQM property.
A Pakistani official told the BBC that India has trained hundreds of MQM militants in explosives, weapons and sabotage over the past 10 years in camps in north and north-east India.
Before 2005-2006, the training was given to a small number of mid-ranking members of the MQM, the official said.
More recently, greater numbers of more junior party members have been trained, the BBC was told.
The claims follow the statement of a senior Karachi police officer in April that two arrested MQM militants said they had been trained in India.
Asked about the claims of Indian funding and training of the MQM, the Indian High Commission in London said: "Shortcomings of governance cannot be rationalised by blaming neighbours."
The UK authorities started investigating the MQM in 2010 when a senior party leader, Imran Farooq, was stabbed to death outside his home in north London.
In the course of those inquiries, the police found around £500,000 ($787,350) in the MQM's London offices and in the home of Mr Hussain.
That prompted a second investigation into possible money laundering.

Wanted Sudan leader Bashir flies out of South Africa

 IMAGE LOADING....

The Pretoria High Court was due to decide whether he should be handed over to the International Criminal Court which charged him with the crimes.
Mr Bashir was in Johannesburg for an African Union (AU) summit.
A news conference will be held in Sudan's capital upon his arrival.
On Sunday, a judge barred Mr Bashir from leaving until the arrest application had been considered.
Mr Bashir is accused of committing war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide during the Darfur conflict.
The UN says that about 300,000 people in Sudan have died and more than two million have fled their homes since fighting began in 2003.
Government forces and allied Arab militias are accused of targeting black African civilians in the fight against rebels.
At the hearing at the Pretoria High Court, the lawyer representing the South African government said Mr Bashir's name was not on the list of passengers who took off earlier.
But the Sudanese state minister for information has told Reuters news agency that Mr Bashir's plane was expected to land in Khartoum at about 18:30 local time (1530 GMT).
It is unlikely that South Africa will face sanctions for allowing Mr Bashir to leave the country even after a court order barred him from doing so, says the BBC's Nomsa Maseko in Pretoria.
A number of African countries have in the past decided not to co-operate with the ICC. The court has been accused of racism and bias against African leaders.
So as things stand, Mr Bashir appears to have left South Africa with the blessing of the African Union, our correspondent says.
The South African press has been considering the repercussions of the attempt to arrest Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who had been attending an AU summit.
IOL News said Mr Bashir's departure would leave "a major constitutional and diplomatic crisis and a big question mark over South Africa's continued membership of the ICC".
The Cape Times said the decision to invite the Sudanese president, despite his indictment by the ICC, had "exposed the fact that the AU considers the ICC largely irrelevant".
"This has the potential to sound the death knell of the ICC," the newspaper said, adding that the arrest "would set a precedent for other leaders on the continent who could be subject to the criminal jurisdiction of the ICC for their actions

Here's everything you need to know about Amazon Prime Day:

When is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime day 2015 takes place next Wednesday - that's July 15. Amazon will start offering deals on its websites from midnight (that is, 00:00 on the 15th) in each participating territory. There will be seven main deals available throughout the day, with lightning deals going live every 10 minutes.

Which countries will Prime Day be happening in?

The US, of course, but also the UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Austria and Greece. We're lying about Greece.

Can anybody take part in Prime Day?

No, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. If you aren't already signed up, Prime is $99 / £79 per year.
For that you get access to Prime Day plus access to the Amazon Prime Instant Video streaming service, free ebook borrowing, unlimited photo storage and free delivery on Prime-eligible items (within 1 hour if you live in one of a handful of London postcodes or some US cities). If you're a parent, your Prime membership also enables you to join Amazon Family to get 20% off the price of nappies.

Can't I just sign up for a 30-day trial, order loads of stuff and then cancel the membership?

Yes, you could. Amazon thinks you should: "try Prime today and get immediate access on 15th July", the Prime homepage says. Amazon clearly hopes that you'll sign up for Prime and either be blown away by the service or so disorganised that you'll forget to cancel. Either way, it's clearly going to get some new Prime members out of it.

What sort of deals will there be on Prime Day?

That's an excellent question, and Amazon hasn't really answered it. It says there will be "thousands of Lightning Deals and seven popular Deals of the Day".
If you haven't seen Amazon's lightning deals before, they're limited-time or limited-amount offers that can offer huge discounts on a fairly random selection of things: in recent weeks the list has included whiskies, watches and fitness monitors; at the time of writing there's 60% off a garden hose and 81% off a fancy watch on Amazon UK.
Amazon offered loads of lightning deals during Black Friday 2014 and there were definite bargains to be had, but as you'd expect the best ones sold out very quickly.
Here's what Amazon has to say about its Prime Day deals. "Members will enjoy deals on items perfect for summer adventures, their to-do list, family road trips, back to school supplies, and everyday essentials." That's not really narrowing it down, is it?

What should I do in the run-up to Prime day?

Assuming that Prime Day is going to be as exciting as Amazon says it is - and if it's going to have more deals than Amazon's Black Friday selection, then it might just be - then it's a good idea to do two things:
1. Set a budget for whatever bargains you want to blag, and
2. Have an idea of what you actually want to buy before you go in.
Hoping for a good deal on an HDTV? Look at what's out there, read our reviews and be prepared to be flexible: while we're sure Amazon will discount all kinds of electronic and electrical items, the likelihood of it slashing the price of a specific model you've had your eye on for ages is close to zero.
Think in terms of specifications, not specific models: that way you'll be able to tell instantly whether a bargain is the right bargain for you, or just money off something you don't really want.

What else should I watch out for?

In retail, bargains aren't always what they seem. We've seen Black Friday deals that looked like massive discounts but which were based on sky-high prices that nobody was expected to pay - the electronic equivalent of supermarket wine promotions and the sofa firms who always seem to be having massive sales - and high-profile sales are a great way of getting shot of end-of-line stock or of selling products bought in specifically to sell at low prices.
Back in 2013, the Wall Street Journal described retailers' sales practices, including Amazon's listing of a $1,799 Samsung HDTV with 45% off the sticker price: a month previously, the same set was $997.99.
Retailers are also known to raise prices in the run-up to big sales events, so for example in the weeks before Black Friday prices of all kinds of goods just happen to go up. Funny, that.
Will Amazon do any of those things? We don't know, but even if it does, we're here to help...

Tom Cruise: Mission: Impossible 5 is About Complications of Friendship

Actor Tom Cruise, who is all set for the release of his forthcoming action film Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, says the fifth instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise will focus more on the "complications of friendship" and teamwork among the Impossible Mission Force (IMF) team."This instalment is about the complications of friendship that happen when enormous pressure comes down on these guys. Who do you trust and who should you not trust? Who is really going to be there for you when the chips are down? Who is going to keep their head under fire? And how can they work together to make things happen? I think Rogue Nation is about finding that intimate aspect of true teamwork in the face of pure evil," the 53-year-old actor said in a statement. While the previous film in the Mission: Impossible series saw protagonist Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) transforming from a lone wolf to a team leader, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation will witness him hone his newfound leadership skills under fire. Hunt must keep the IMF team from fraying, even while he's trying to keep the world safe from The Syndicate. "In this film, Ethan and his team come up against a terrifying villain who is a match for them; someone who challenges them physically, intellectually and emotionally. Right from the film's first moments, Ethan and the team are on their toes, desperately moving from one situation to the next. The action is gripping but true to Mission: Impossible, within the suspense, and there's a lot of humour and romance," the Edge of Tomorrow star added.Releasing on August 7, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation is produced by Skydance and will be distributed in India by Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Dana Goldberg, chief creative officer of Skydance, said that for Mr Cruise, essaying Hunt is something that he considers as an evolution. "Tom always has a high bar of excellence in everything he does, but I think it is even higher when it comes to Mission: Impossible. He approaches Ethan by asking, 'What is the real way that Ethan Hunt would respond given this situation and under this amount of pressure?' That's one of the things that Ethan has always been good at, handling extreme pressure that never relents. But Tom also is revealing Ethan as a bit older and smarter, a spy who has grown up in some ways, who has come to accept what his role is and what the costs are. He's a man who has learned to truly rely on his team, and he's learned to reach out. You can feel the synergy between character and actor," Mr Goldberg said. As the brains and heart behind the entire franchise, Cruise's total commitment is not just to the role and to the stunts, but equally to the filmmaking, says Don Granger, executive vice president of production house Skydance. "It's so impressive that in the middle of a Mission: Impossible movie, which has the most demanding stunts and the most physically exhausting schedule for Tom, he not only gives an amazing performance as Ethan, but he's also there all day and all evening after we shoot. He's always involved in an incredibly productive way with the big picture of the movie," Mr Granger said.

        Yoga For Hair Loss

One of the most worrying problems of people living in the Middle East is – hair loss. While one of the most obvious culprits seem to be the desalinated water (the hard tap water contains high levels of chlorine which weakens the hair and causes hair fall), the extreme heat and constant exposure to air conditioning does not help either. And a fast paced lifestyle and increasing stress levels tend to fuel the fire. But to our rescue, (apart from our favourite hair dressers), is yoga! Coupled with good nutrition and sufficient sleep, you can work your hair to a healthier mob.
Start with a quick warm up, and 3 long deep breaths to center your energies.
Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukho Svanasana):
Lie down on your stomach, and place your palms on the mat, near your ears. Keep your toes pointed downwards so your heels face the sky. Now, exhale and pushing your palms firmly on the mat, lift your body so that your hips point to the sky, like an inverted ‘V’. Keeping your hands exactly where they are, now gently put your heels on the mat (if you can) so that you can feel a nice stretch on your hamstrings.
This pose strengthens the arms, increases blood circulation to the head thereby stimulating the nerves of the scalp.
        Forward Bend (Uttanasana):
Stand straight on your mat. Inhale and raise your hands above your head. Bend forward completely pushing your buttocks back till your palms touch the floor (or wherever they reach). If you are uncomfortable, you can slightly bend your knees. Stay in this pose for 5-8 breaths. Then gently inhale bringing your arms above your head, raising your upper body erect. Remember to rise up from the hips, without straining your muscles. And use a gentle flow at all times.
Apart from getting the blood circulation rushing to your head, this pose stretches your hamstrings, and muscles of the abdomen.
        Vajrasana:
Kneel down on the mat. The top surface of your feet must touch the mat and your heels face upwards. Now gently place your buttocks on your heels. Now place both your palms on your knees, facing downwards. Close your eyes and relax in this pose for 5-10 breaths.
This pose relaxes the mind and improves digestion, which is an integral part of your overall wellbeing. That is why this pose is a part of this routine.
        Pawan Mukhtawasan:
Lie on your back, and place your palms on your knees. Exhale and pull your legs to your chest, using the strength of your thighs rather than your arms. When you inhale loosen your grip, and allow your legs to move completely away from your tummy. Do this for a few breaths at your own pace. Let your breath guide your movement. Hold this position for some time. Close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths in and out.
This pose also aids better digestion, by relieving any gas built up in the stomach and abdomen. It is also a great pose for relaxing the back and the tense muscles of the neck and thighs.
        (Shoulder Stand) Sarvangasana:
Lie down on your back with your legs extending outwards. Place your palms along your back and hips for support and slowly raise your legs either by first folding them at the knees or by lifting them straight, and then raise your body while pointing your toes to the ceiling. Your elbows should be touching the floor and your back should be supported by your hands. All your weight should be on your shoulders. Make sure you breathe slowly and lock your chin into your chest. Hold this pose for as long as you are comfortable. To return to the lying position, slowly lower your body. Do not fall back to the lying position.
Note:  Do not do this pose if you suffer from any neck or spinal injuries. If you do have high blood pressure, perform this exercise only under supervision.
This pose is known for activating the thyroid glands and helps the head to get its supply of blood, which in turn helps hair growth. Since the proper function of the thyroid glands is required for the smooth functioning of the entire body (including the digestive, nervous and reproductive system, regulating metabolism and the working of the respiratory system and mitigating hair fall), this pose is a must for those suffering from hair fall due to hormonal imbalance.
Apart from these asanas, incorporate a diet of hair-friendly foods like prunes (great source of iron!), eggs, (loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids), carrots (rich in vitamin A), walnuts (provide Omega 6 fatty acids, zinc, B vitamins and iron), and always stay hydrated!

The 'Yes' to sex app: New mobile phone device films people giving consent to protect users from assault claims - but health workers condemn 'contracts' as 'evil'

        • The WeConsent app was created by a former Wall Street banker
        • Uses Apple iPhone's video camera to make 20-second recording
        • Asks both partners to state their names and that they agree to sex
        • Critics have branded sex contracts 'pure evil' and a 'dangerous notion'
They're already used for everything from ordering your groceries to checking your bank balance and booking a table at a restaurant.
So it was only matter of time before a mobile phone app was launched that lets people say yes to sex.
The app is designed to make sure there’s no trouble between partners the morning after the night before, as they film themselves giving consent. But while some health workers have backed so-called ‘sex contracts’, rape victims and student union leaders have condemned them as ‘evil’ and 'dangerous'.
The WeConsent app is available for £3.20 and is the creation of former Wall Street banker turned philosophy professor Michael Lissick. It uses an Apple iPhone’s video camera to make a 20-second recording of both partners agreeing to sex.
A breathy female British voice asks participants to state their name and to agree to sex. Once the video has been completed the voice says: ‘Consent confirmed. Have fun.’ The video is then saved in a ‘cloud’ or server.
Mr Lissick, 57, said: ‘The videos are twice encrypted and can only be accessed by law enforcement, by a written judge’s order or as part on an ongoing sexual investigation by a college.’
More than 100 people in the UK have already downloaded it.
